Try clicking Toggle View button . This will toggle between Multimedia and Explorer views. Note that the current status of the view is also displayed on the status bar.

Multimedia view shows the multimedia properties (title, album, format, etc.) of audio files. Before playing, converting and ripping audio files or editing their header tags you need to switch to Multimedia view.

However Audio Converter and Ripper includes an Explorer view, which functions exactly like Windows Explorer. Instead of launching Windows Explorer you can conveniently use this view to delete, rename, cut/paste, etc. your files.
